Are Thin Endometrium And Ovaries With Polycystic Features A Cause For Concern?
My Gynecology Scan shows: Uterus (3.21x3.8x3.28cm) retroverted, no myometrial lesion seen. Endometrium (0.58cm thin, hyperechoic) compatible; non-specific phase. Cervix (2.8x2.3x1.94cm) Nabothian cyst: none. Right ovary (2.6x2.11x1.89cm) lateral to the uterus - others: with multiple( 12)immature subcapsular follicies, normal ovarian volume 5.3cc. Left ovary (2.69x1.79x1.63cm) lateral to the uterus - other: with multiple( 12)immature subcapsular follicies, normal ovarian volume 4.1cc - others: No free fluid in the cul-de-sac. All of these results to a :Diagnosis: Normal Sized Retroverted Uterus, Thin Endometrium, Normal sized ovaries with polycystic features. What does these mean?

I have read and understood your concern
-Retroverted uterus is uterus that has been tilted posteriorly and may not pose any problem.
-Ovaries of normal size with polycystic features: ultrasound scan shows ovaries contain small collections of fluid called follicles or cysts.
However, the reason for which you were prescribed this test would have guided us to orientate you better.You may still see a Gynecologist for evaluation as the only problem that the scan poses is that of polycystic ovaries.
