Are Turmeric And Milk Thistle Safe For Autoimmune Liver Disease?
My husband has a condition called auto immune liver, he is taking prescribed Prednisone, Imuran, Calcium, vit D3 for it. In addition he is taking Pradaxa, Digoxin for his A fib, Colazol for Ulcerative Colitis, also Pepcid for Gerd. Do you think Tumeric and Milk thistle are safe to take for his liver? GI specialist said there is no known facts about its benefit. Is that true?

I really appreciate your concern, all the pathologic conditions needs to be treated with pharmaceutical molecules (Medicines) only and nothing could be helpful besides this even the disease that your husband got, so I would advise to continue with the given medicine and do not try anything else, perhaps it cause some other complication than benefit of cure, (Turmeric and milk are just the diet and not the medicine, hope this information helps.
