Are Vomiting, Diarrhea And Stomach Pain While On Ozempic For Diabetes Signs Of Pancreatitis?
Hi, I’m taking Ozempic for diabetes. I have woken up at3am with vomiting and diarrhoea. My doctor warned of pancreatitis with this medication. I have stomach pain as well but not severe. How can I get this tested as I have had these symptoms a few times and do not believe it’s a stomach flu. Thankyou in advance.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
While Ozempic is known to cause the symptoms like yours as side effects. Ozempic can cause pancreatitis in few patients. It needs to be diagnosed by estimating raised levels of WBCs in blood, raised pancreatic hormone levels and by USG scanning to show inflammation of pancreas.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
