It continued for a few seconds and the nurse said she couldn't get any bloof so she switched needles and veins. And now I continue to have weird jolts of pain in my ar in the same place it was burning. What happened and should I be worried?

Thanks for asking in Healthcaremagic Forum

In short: May be you are having thrombophlebitis.

Explanation: Many a times, we don't get proper vein for the placement of needle for infusion. So, we have to try again and again in different places. So this may cause veins to get inflamed and we call it thrombophlebitis.
So, you need not worry, visit a doctor for examination and proper diagnosis as it is difficult to diagnose without seeing . In mean while you can apply Heparin ointment locally for the relief.
