Are White Spots In Mouth During Tonsillitis A Normal Occurrence?
hi I went to the doctor on saturday and She told me I have tonsillitis so she put me on Augmentin for a week. Its now Monday and I have taken 2 1/2 days of the medicine and my throat still really hurts and I now see a white dot on the other side of my mouth that wasn't there before. Is this normal?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain white spots in mouth while having a throat infection is a normal occurrence and you need not to worry about it as gradually when the infection will subside the spot will also resolve.
As of now along with augmentin that is an antibiotic you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room.. You should also avoid hot and spicy food.. Sip on plenty of warm water.. Sucking throat lozenges and chewing a vitamin C pellet can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
