Artery In Heart Getting Stiff, Blood Pressure Spikes, Take Lisinopril. Have Severe Headaches. Any Alternative?

Thanks, I have a condition according to the cardiologist where the muscle or artery in my hesrt is stiffening., therefore my blood pressure spikes at times. Most of the time it is within normal rangebut this weekend it spiked . He gave me sone lisinopril 2.5 mg to take when I have these spikes. He does not want to give me this on a daily basis zs he is afraid it might bottom out. The problem is the lisinopril gives me a terrific headavh. What kind of blood pressure medication would you reccommend that would not give ne a headavh or make my bp too high.

Dear Sir/ madam
I am afraid that there is something amiss in your query.
1. The stiffening of artery or muscle in heart will not give rise to episodes of high blood pressure. It is the stiffening of peripheral arteries which may be responsible for high blood pressure.
2. I would not recommend as SOS therapy for high blood pressure as it is not supported by literature. Instead we should try to find out cause for episodic rise and deal with it accordingly.
3. If a blood pressure medication is given, it must be taken regularly.
4. There are many alternatives to lisinopril. Your doctor can change as per requirement.
Sincerely
