Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
when is influenza vaccine be give i have twins daughters now on 10th nov they will be six months old when is influenza vaccine be given the elder one has small rashes miniature boils on chest , we give them mothers feed plus naan 1 , orange juice and dal water is it ok
Thanks for the query. When the vaccine is used first time, in children 6 months to less than 9 years of age the vaccines are given as 2 doses, 1 month apart. Only one dose is sufficient at 9 years and above. Revaccination is recommended with a single annual dose irrespective of age and even if the vaccine antigenic composition does not change. It is difficult to comment on the rash without watching it try local antibiotic cream like fusidic acid if it is boil. At 10 months you should have started with semi-solid and solid food also like smashed potato, banana, rice dal, upma. Hope i helped you.
