Ate Shrimp, Feels Like Scratched Throat Or Bone Still There. Will This Cause Me To Suffocate While Sleeping?
Hi im an 18 y/o male and for supper i ate some shrimp with a little bread (shrimp was cooked on the BBQ) and i feel like i either scratched my throat or a bone from the fish is still there. I can breathe fine and swallow but i also have anxiety and feel like if i go to sleep it would dislodge and cause me to suffocate in my sleep theres no pain but with anxiety its hard to just brush this kind of stuff off thanks.
Hello user, There can be only two options, either you have a stucked fish bone in your neck, or you might not have. In both cases you will feel foreign body sensation. In the latter case, there might be no fish bone but your throat might have been abraded by the shell of fish, which might be causing pain and swelling, which is causing you to suffocate. You are advised to visit to nearby General Physician/ ENT specialist to take a look of your throat and get some X-Ray or CT done, if you are not feeling relived after some anti inflammatory medications.
Hope this information helped you. Let me know if you need any more clarifications.
