Atypical Mole On Back, Elevation And Different Pigmentation. Is This Cause For Nodular Or Amelanomic Melanoma?
Hi I'm 30 yr old female, who found an atypical mole on my back two weeks ago. It's quite symmetrical in shape, but has a darker flat halo border and the center is tan to apigmented, is raised, and is not pearly. The elevated center appears to be squishy to the touch, with similar feel to my other moles. I've always had a mole there but just recently am noticing the center elevation and different pigmentation. Could this be cause for nodular or amelanomic melanoma?
Yes.the signs of nodular or amelanocytic melanoma like atypical growth.sudden elevation.pigmentary changes .satellite lesions are all present in present case hence it can be nodular or amelanocyticmelanoma.for correct diagnosis and confirmation go for biopdy of the stage.biopsy also tells us about grading of melanoma
