Baby Has Red Pimples On Head. Using Bathing Oil. Is That The Cause?
Hi I have a 19 week old baby and only yesterday I have realized that he has tiny red pimples in the centre of his head they are really small and red and I didn t realize it until I was brushing his hair. He had dry skin few days ago and was us QV bath oil which I applied to his hair and QV body lotion which I also applies to his hair . Do u think that that s why he has developed this things
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Yes this could be due to frequent use of oil. Please discontinue oil use over scalp, continue with body lotion to prevent dryness of body areas. Some infants are prone to have flakiness of scalp which could be seborrheic dermatitis or due to atopic eczema. Right now use a mild scalp wash like cetrilak scalp wash to wash hair. Apply it and keep it for five minutes then wash off. Usually with few washes, the scalp flakiness and red bumps should subside, if they do not please consult your doctor for a prescription of steroid lotion for dryness and antibiotic cream for red bumps. H0pe this helped. Take care
