Hi dear your daughter having loose motion 10 to 12 motions per day from last 12 days and her stool examination is normal, and she has taken antibiotic with no relief,Dear the loose motion in this age group is usually caused by virus called as Rota virus and this does not respond to antibiotic, resolves itself with supportive treatment in the form of ORS,with symptomatic treatment, but since 12 days have passed, you must consult some pediatrician (child specialist) to look in to the cause of this prolonged diarrhea, i think it could be due to super added infection due to plenty of antibiotic your baby has received.stop all antibiotic, give her ORS and consult child specialist.

Hello
Thanks for the query
10 to 12 motions a day for last 12 days is really a major concern. Reaction of stool is acidic due to presence of sugar in stool which a very common finding in diarrhea. In diarrhea there is decreased absorbtion of sugar so even you should decrease the sugar intake in case of diarrhea.
I would suggest you to stop all antibiotic, to give easily digestable foods like rice, khichdi, suji's preparation, smashed potato, curd, banana, sabudana etc. Give ORS and plain water frequently to maintain adequate hydration. Avoid milk and control the amount of sugar in diet. Give Zinc syrup 5 ml once a day for 14 days and observe for improvement. What you need to look for is a gross change in consistency, whether any decreased feeding is there due to lethargy, decreased urinary frequency , having temperature, blood mixed stool or any other obvious symptoms are there. If there is nothing like this then you should not worry. If you notice any one of these or condition is not improving in few days then consult your doctor.
I hope this answers your query effectively

Wish you and your family good health

With regards
