Baby Oil Went Inside Child's Mouth, Cleaned Immediately. Time Taken For Symptoms To Appear? Medical Assistance Required?

My daughter got hold of the baby oil yesterday. The kid was on it but there was a little oil on the bottle that got on her hands and in her mouth I cleaned it off right away. I've read awful things about what can happen if you breathe the oil in. How long would it take for symptoms to appear. Should I take her to the doctor. She has had a cold so she has been wheezey with a cough but it hasn't seemed to worsen since the insident.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
If inhaled in the lungs through inhalation then it may develops allergy and wheezing.
But if taken in the mouth through orally then need not to worry and not a cause of concern.
Inhaled causes bronchoconstriction and that develops allergy .
This require bronchodilators + antihistamine .
Within 1 - 2 days child will be alright.
Good luck. Dr. HET
