Back And Neck Injury, Swelling Behind Ear And Neck. Concussion?
Hi. Today my daughter was in cheerleading. The girls were lifting her up in the air when her back and right side of her neck hit the mat. Now she is a little swollen behind her ear and down her neck. Could this be a concussion or just your regular swollen bump? She has no other symptoms except for a headache which was gone within an hour after the fall. Thanks
Hi, the concussion will be accompanied by head ache, continuous vomiting, dizziness, and may be with loss of sense for some time. As she had the pain, and reduced after a while, and there is a bump means it might be a normal bump. If any of the above symptoms are seen , consult a neuro physician for excluding the concussion. Thank you.
