Bad Build Up Of Head Pressure For Short Period. On Betahistine Dihydrochloride Tablets For Dizziness, Poor Balance, Tinnitus. Can Ibuprofen Taken?
I have been put on 3x 16mg betahistine dihydrochloride tablets a day by the doctor due to dizziness, poor balance and tinnitus ringing in my ears and referred to the ENT specialist at the hospital. I have been on the tablets a week now and they stop the dizziness but I now get very very bad build ups of head pressure that come and go in seconds and minutes. I have been taking ibuprofen to try to help with these headaches and head pressure/fullness. Is ibuprofen ok or is it adding to the problem ie overdosing?
Low dose ibuprofen, meaning less than 2400 mg per day in total, occasionally and judiciously used, should not interfere with your vertigo treatment. Nevertheless, it would also be prudent to make sure that your blood pressure on the betahistine is still normal, and not elevated, thus causing headaches.
