Ball Kind Of Thing Coming From Throat, Squishy, Not Breaking. Any Ideas?
I felt like I had something comung up into my mouth from my throat. I did a smal cough like clear my throat sota thing and a clear/cloudy ball sort of thing came out. It is about 1cm long and reminds me of a jelly that has been sucked on for ages. Its not hard but is squishy and when I squashed it with my finger it doesnt break, spreads out under my finger. When i take my finger off it goes back to the same shape. What is it?
Hello,
It could be mucus which is coming from the lungs.
This mucus collection is common in people who smoke take alcohol and who have reflux disease. The reflux disease is one in which there is heart burn and the people have reflux of food contents from stomach in the throat. This is more in night when we sleep, and more common in people who snore .
You should take a antireflux and antacid medication for few days and take precautions to prevent reflux, like take meals every 2 hrly and avoid binge eating avoid smoking and alcohol.
And if you have nasal allergic disease then get it checked and examined by ent specialist and treated
