Based On The Readings Of Anomaly Scan Should I Have An Abortion?
Hi, i am 20 weeks pregnant now. Last friday i did anomaly scan and the result shows that there is large cysic mass extending from pelvis to upper abdomen cavity noted. Also echogenic bowel noted, cephalic presentation, posterior placentation, feotal age by USG-18+ weeks gestation, fetal H/R 150(2)bpm, severe ologohydramnious. The doctor suggested me that i have to terminate my baby so she prescribed me to have MTP kit cipla. I took one tablet this morning. Just wanted to ask do i really have to terminate the baby or any other option to save my baby. Please help.
It is difficult to comment as the report that you have informed does not reveal about what are the possibilities and what this may be.
It seems that there is a big fluid filled lump in the babies abdomen. What it is we do not know. You may consult a pediatrician and a radiologist for a second opinion if the mass is incompatible with later life.
Since you have already taken the tablets it seems that you have made a decision. So it is better to continue with it as it is anomalous and also it is not advisable to continue pregnancy after taking the tablet. I am extremely sorry as all this is happening, but it is good that this was realized earlier and you were able to decide. Hope this was helpful.
