Black Dots On Toilet Paper After Bowel Movement, Abdominal Discomfort. Is This Normal?
Hi Dr. Radhakrishana I ve been noticing the past two times I go to wipe (fecal) that on the toilet paper there are tiny black dots. Now I have been noticing a slight discomfort/bloat feeling in my abdominal region and I am one that is only able to frequent the restroom once a week-ish in that regard. I don t know whether or not this is normal for me or not bc of my symptoms. I m only 27.
The consistency of stool is vital in this question, which is missing.
If liquid type - more likely of intestine infection
If solid nature - likely from hemorrhoid friction or fissure issue
For primary care before seeing consultant surgeon
- sitz bath (sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water)
- keeping diet control to avoid hard stools
- local application of xylocaine jelly over the anal part.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
