Black/purple Bruise Over Whole Left Bottom Cheek With Swelling After A Fall. Any Permanent Damage ?

Hi, I fell down the stairs a week ago and now have a black/purple bruise that covers my whole left bottom cheek. I have also been left with a dent where I landed on the step, there is still painful swelling above this which is hot to touch. What permanent damage could I have done? I can walk ok, painful if I walk too quickly though.

Hello and welcome to HCM
The bruise that you have had on the cheek will resolve over a period of one week.
The dent that you have mentioned, on cheek (I assume) is due to the same injury.
To rule out any internal injury get a CT done.
