Bleeding Occurred While Cleaning Ear With A Q Tip As It Went Deep Into Ear. Should I Take Her To Hospital?
I was cleaning my daughters ear with a q tip and she kept moving and jumping around and it went deep into her ear and blood started to run out of her ear for a few minutes and then stopped. She said it hurt for a minute or two then stopped hurting. Should I take her to the hospital? what could of happened is it serious?

Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM. In my opinion you should consult an ENT specialist since there is bleeding and when something goes deep it can damage the ear drum which may cause hearing loss.Hope this helps.
Presence of blood confirms that there is injury. It is advised that you consult a local ENT surgeon for clinical examination and medication. There might be damage to ear drum, so don't try put any ear drops without examination.
