Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am female, 32, 5 4 and 137lbs. For the past week or so I have been feeling very bloated, with my lower abdomen sticking out (normally my stomach is flat) and increased feelings of needing or actually passing gas. Plus I am hungry a lot more than I am normally but sometimes feel sick after eating. Any ideas what could be causing this? I have only had real pain once after a meal from it and the rest of the time it is just uncomfortable feeling.
Fall bladder or liver or pancreatic problem may cause feeling sick after eating. Other possibilities like food poisoning or irritable bowel syndrome or gastritis or gastric ulcer disease etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and caffeinated drinks.
Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Avoid gluten and lactose contain food.
If symptoms not improved please consult your physician/gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
