Bloating And Cramping After IUI, Spotting. Normal?
I had an IUI last Saturday. Since, I have experienced bloating and cramping. The nurse said I would bleed that day because my cervix bled when she inserted catheter, but I did not get any blood until 3dpiui. It has been a mix of fresh and dry blood that has just been spotting. I have had sharp pains favoring my left side on and off since 3dpiui that continue each day. Is this normal after an IUI?
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The bleeding might have stopped due to formation of clot and when the clot dislodges the bleeding can be seen again.
After IUI some amount of cramps can be seen due to internal procedures.
If you are having severe pain and any associated white discharge better to rule out infection once.
Meanwhile you can take symptomatic treatment and continue taking folic acid supplementation.
