Blood In Stool. Diagnosed Hemmorhoids. Advised Drinking Plenty Of Water, Fiber Food. Problem Persist. Why?
Hi Charles, I am Val, age 35. From past one year I am seeing bright red blood in my stool or on the tissue paper, visited doctor and after investigating using a gloved finger he said it is due to Hemorrhoids and suggested me to drink lot of water, eat fibre and be on fruits. I have changed my diet as per his suggestion but still my problem exists. Please help me.
Hemorrhoids are one of the common reasons for blood in the stool. It is usually as you mentioned, bright red and seen on wiping. The diagnosis is also based on the use of an instrument called a protoscope which is inserted into the anus and allows a doctor to see into the anus and visualise the hemorrhoids.
There are other causes for rectal bleeding and you may want to consider ensuring that none of these is present by having an imaging test such as a colonoscopy or a barium enema. It may be best to make sure that there are no other causes for your symptoms.
The diet for hemorrhoids is as was suggested by your doctor- high fiber foods such as vegetables, fruits, oats, barley, whole grain products.
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
As this problem is since long and steel bleeding is continued so consult surgeon and get examined.
If he advices surgery,-hemorrhamedectomy, go for surgery.
Otherwise due to chronic blood loss you will have anemia.
Avoid constipation.
If require go for liquid crimaffin daily at night.
Avoid fried, chillies and junk food.
Ok and bye.
