17 year old male. bright red blood in stool, no pain. happened once only. no history of serious conditions. could the problem be serious?

hi.welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.painless bleeding per rectum means piles most commonly.but there are a lot of causes and confirmation of diagnosis requires local examination.visit to surgeon for exact diagnosis and treatment.till then avoid constipation.
