Blood Pressure 94/54. Not Had Anything To Eat Or Drink. Underweight. What Could Be The Cause For Low Blood Pressure?

My 16 year old daughter passed out at a routine Dr visit today---they took her blood pressure and it was 94/54---she hadn't had anything to eat or drink and thought that was the reason for her passing out but were concerned about her low blood pressure---she is very athletic and not over or under weight---what could cause the low blood pressure?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Since your daughter is very athletic and normal weight with no problem, this BP may be normal. In athletes usually BP will be less. And wrong method of recording BP like posture, position, cuff size also affects BP reading. If no problem in her keep record of her BP and Consult your doctor for complet examination once and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
