Blood Sugar Of 580. Is This The Cause For Concern?
my husband went to see the doctor for a work physical and the doctor told him his blood sugar was 580. he refused to test him again to make sure. he gave him a few prescriptions and then sent him home, telling him to see another doctor. He at two hours before the physical, had soda, and coffee. he's never had any problems like this before. isn't 580 too high? should the doctor have sent my husband to the hospital?

The normal blood sugar level (RBS) should be around 80- 120.
Yes 580 is too high he should be on diabetic drugs by now. I think its better that you go to another physician get the blood sugar levels checked once again just to make sure and start the course of the anti diabetic drugs if the sugar levels are above normal.
