Bloody Discharge Through Urethra, Abdominal Pain And Burning Sensation After Delivery, Normal Blood Tests. Help?
Hi... this is Preeti... I had delivery in June of this year which was normal... after that I had some discomfort in passing urine... now I noticed some bloody discharge coming out of urethra with pain in abdomen and burning sensation...my urine test of microscopy and culture are normal... my weight is 60 kg and height is cm... please help me out

There are 2 possibilities here: Urethritis which would cause all these symptoms and secondly, possibly a urethral injury which could have been sustained during a normal delivery. So what we need to do is start you on a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin. Also drink plenty of water. Secondly, we would need an examination which can document whether its vaginal discharge or urethral discharge and also whether there is any incontinence.

Hello..
Most common cause of the above mentioned symptoms is urinary tract infection. Buts since you have normal urine microscopy & culture, it is unlikely.
Other things which can lead to these symptoms are kidney stones, bladder stones. For knowing the exact site, its important you tell me if you notice the blood staining at the beginning of micturition which is likely to be due to urethritis or at the end of micturition which can be due to bladder causes. Also if you have pain in the inner aspect of thigh it can be due to to kidney problems.
For now you should take plenty of fluids as inadequate hydration can also result in these problems. Also get an ultrasound of KUB region to rule out mass lesions and a gynaecological checkup to rule out genital causes as sometimes vaginal bleeding is confused with bloody urine.
