Blurry Vision. Had Corneal Abrasion. How Will It Get Cured?
hi i have had a corneal abrasion before and they usually go away within a week at most. The current corneal abrasion I'm experiencing I have had for over a week and it doesn't seem to get much better which leads me to believe it is deeper than the previous. I'm having very blurry vision in the right eye and have been wearing glasses instead of contacts for the time period that it has been scratched. Should I see a doctor or what might I be able to do to help it in the meantime? Thanks!
You are right it might be a deeper abrasion, it may be an infection as well...it may be contact lens induced keratitis with corneal edema.
I'm glad you have discontinued the contact lens. Discontinue till your cornea is healed. If you have an antibiotic drop handy please start hourly
See your ophthalmologist to rule out any other pathology. Accordingly she would add steroids & tear substitutes, if required.Do not use steroids on your own.
