Born With Bronchitis. Possiblity Of Effecting Nervous System Causing Low Pain Tolerance?

Can being born with something like bronchitis effect the nervous system for a large percentage of one's life? Example: I am a football player, I am 5"8 285lb. I can't take hardly any pain, it seems that one thing to someone else is 5 times worse to me. So do you think that me being born with bronchitis, as my mother was a smoker, could have caused this LOW "pain tolerance"?

Hi there!
Welcome to H.CM.Forum!

Your symptom of pain intolerance seems to be relative. There is no proven theory connecting bronchitis to affliction of the nervous system (other than stroke, in rare cases). Your mother being a smoker could be the reason as to why you were born with bronchitis. But you being affected with bronchitis cannot categorically be stated as having any relation to pain intolerance. Some factors which may cause pain insensitivity are depression, anxiety and of course, smoking. So try to avoid these factors, and keep yourself in good health and spirits!

Good luck!
