Bowels Problem, Rectal Seal, Took Stool Softeners, Mucus Plugs. Recommendations?
I have rectal seal. I have recently begun not having a bowel movement by itself. Usually I could kegal into an ungulating movement. I use stool softeners a couple times a week. I have been having mucus and even a couple of mucus plugs. No pain. We have been waiting for a substitute for the mesh. Do i need to make a md visit before my yearly exam? thank you, Margie Jacobson
Yes, you should see your doctor earlier. It needs to be verified either its only pelvis muscles problem or some other issue like large intestine issues are the reason of your problem. Colon cancer should be always ruled out especially if you are older than 50.
I suggest you to visit your doctor. Stool tests should be done and colonoscopy. You should also improve your diet. Increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake. Probiotic supplementation should be started.
Hope this will help. Regards.
