Breast Cancer Survivor, Have Large Mass Behind Heart, Pressing The Esophagus And Wrapping Around Aorta, Earlier BC Was ER/PR. Common?
I am a breast cancer suvivor and a friend of mine who is also a survivor is having a recurrence. She found out today that there is a large mass behind her heart. pressing her esophagus upward and also wrapping itself around her aorta . Her original BC was ER/PR+ and she was stage 3. How common is a tumor wrapping itself around the aorta?

Hi..Yuping.., The mediastinal metastasis of the breast cancer is common in the third stage of the disease, every patient will not have the same representation of the disease.. the patient need to be treated with chemotherapy to prevent further progression of the cancer..
