Broke Big Toe, Burning Sensation, Swelling All Of Foot And Ankle, Color Turned Black. Cold Pack Elevated Swelling. Suggestion?
Hello I broke my big toe monday night. my questions is is there suppose to be a burning stinging sensation at the injured area. i broke bone all the way thru. lots of swelling all of foot and ankle and whole foot is black and blue.iceing it about every 2 hrs and its elevated. seems swollen isnt going down.crutches and boot is what imm on.
Hi, If bone is broken this complains remains for long time. In soft tissue injury, infection is likely. Go for x-ray thumb and confirm that fracture is there or not. If there is no fracture then go for regular dressing with antibiotic cream and take antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines after consulting your doctor. You can apply ice pack 2-3 times a day. Ok and take care.
