Bronchitis, Wheezing. Green Yellow Mucus. Switched From Augmentum To Klacid. Now White Mucus. Continue Klacid, Healing Time?

Hi, I have been suffering from bronchitis, I do not smoke, I was given augmentum as my mucus was green. But after 7 days it was still producing green yellow mucus. I was then switched to Klacid, and this is the 5 day for Klacid, my last antibiotic dose, after starting Klacid, my muscus is sometimes white, sometimes clear now. But am still coughing out mucus. My question is, should I take a another 5 more days of Klacid? How long does it take so the mucus stops producing, as I am still coughing and my chest still hurt when I breathe. Also, I am still wheezing and have shortness for breath. but feeel much better than when I took augmentum. How much longer do you think this will last? Thanks

As per description only antibiotics may not work. You requires some bronchodilators, preferably LABA (salmeterol/ formeterol) and anti-inflammatory agents preferably inhaled (fluticasone) to get completer relief of symptoms. In chronic bronchitis only white/ clear colored sputum without any other symptom do not warrants for any antibiotic treatment. If your symptoms are not chronic then try for some anit-allergic & mucolytic preparation.
