Hello Nikki and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I would like to point out a few things before requesting you to investigate your condition. Firstly, sexual intercourse during
pregnancy can cause spotting or bleeding, which is still considered normal.
But, if you have a history of
miscarriage, it is always best to get yourself regularly examined, especially with an
ultrasound and confirm fetal heart beat regularly. Do not worry, miscarriages happen, but they do not mean that a woman cannot successfully deliver a healthy child. Just always keep in touch with your doctor and keep getting yourself investigated.
As you have also mentioned details of a previous
thrush a UTI, I am sure you would know the symptoms of an infection. The two most likely causes of the bleed after sexual contact are either infections or just normal bleeding due to intercourse. So once you rule out infections, and confirm a healthy ongoin pregnancy by ultrasound, the cause for the bleed will be clear (i.e. sexual intercourse).
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes
