I had to get my blood taken to check my T3 and T4 levels for my thyroid about three weeks ago. I noticed when the nurse was taking my blood that it was taking her longer than it usually does for the blood to collect in the tube. The next day the area where she drew the blood bruised the worst it ever had. I also began to notice that there was a hard many 2 cm lump under my skin two inches AWAY from the spot the needle was inserted. Now, being three weeks later, I still have that bump there and it has not gone down in size. I have read a lot about this online but the only results I find are getting a lump on the exact spot the needle was put in. I just thought it was kind of strange that mine appeared away from it. I was just wondering to see if someone could tell me what this lump is and if it has to do with anything with the blood draw or not. Thanks!
