Bruise On Top Of Foot Spreading, Small Knots Started Appearing. Cure?

I started with what looked like a bruise on the top of my foot apprx 10 months ago...I have noticed in the last few weeks that small knots are starting to appear and the bruising looks like it is spreading...also the knots are moving up my ankle ...where should I start in look for the correct Doctor?

Bruises spreading and staying for more then 10 month is quire unusual. I would like you to show to orthopaedic surgeon. He may ask you to get X ray of your foot. I would also ask you to keep your foot in warm water for half hour twice in a day.Also apply compression bandage over leg.
