Bruised Lump On The Buttocks After A Fall. No Pain. Will It Go Away?
I fell walking down wooden steps and slipped and fell pretty hard, my right bum cheek caught my fall on the corner of the step. Its bruised and I have a bump the size of a half a grape fruit, the bruising is going down now that its been just under 2 weeks but the bump is still there and its hard, and very noticeable through my pants. Its not painful any more I m just wondering if the bump will go away??
Hello, You had a hit 2 weeks back, now only a bump is remaining with the size of a grape fruit. It may be cellulitis, abscess - but both these conditions are painful. It may be a Hematoma and may not be painful so long is not infected. Abscess or hematoma needs an adequate incision and Drainage with a Pack and every day dressing to prevent collections, along with antibiotic and anti inflammatory drugs. As you say the bump is hard - better to take X-ray to rule out fracture. Best wishes
