Bruised Swelling On The Cheekbone Due To An Injury. Advice?

Whilst dealing with our pony this morning the pony whacked his head into my left cheekbone resulting in a huge swelling and now 7 hrs later its starting to colour..ie: blue bruising. Could I have in fact fractured my cheekbone? I didnt lose consciousness and it swelled quickly which I have always thought is a good thing. Thank you
