Bump In Baggy Area Under Eye, Red With White Dots On It, Swelling, Inflamed
I woke up with a bump in the baggy area under my eye. It is red with little white pustule like dots (pinhead size) on it and there is swelling under my eye. It happens maybe once a year. The bump starts out dark purplish (like a bruise ) and then becomes red and inflammed. Could this be associated with stress or the fact that part of my thyroid has been removed? It presents very much like a spider bite but can t be, as it happens about once a year and goes away within a few days (the swelling lasts a bit longer). Any ideas?
Hi, it appears that you have some chronic infection of the skin under the eyes, exacerbating when the body is favourable to it. I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have culture and sensitivity of the discharge, and treatment accordingly. Thank you.
