Bump In Calf, Tender To Touch, Have Swelling. Wearing Compression Stocking. Sufficient?
I have a small soft bump on inside of my right calf . It does not hurt to walk but it is tender to touch. My doctor s office is closed tomorrow. Should I be concerned and go to stat care or wait to call my doctor on Monday? I should add that I wear a compression stocking on that leg and I do take ortho cyclen . I m a38 year old overweight female with an 8 month old baby. I cuerrently have no swelling in that leg but do experience swelling in it on a regular basis. Was diagnosed years ago with a faulty vein valve.
When you can see or feel a bump on the calf, it means that the lesion is superficial . Wearing an elastic stocking for varicose veins suggests that this might be a thrombo-phlebitis , this is not a medical emergency. You can take 300mg of aspirin every 8 hous as needed and gently apply some anti-inflammatory rub. See your doctor as soon as he is available .
