Bump On Calf, Tender To Touch, Scheduled For Biopsy. What Could It Be?

A couple of years ago I noticed a small pearly like bump on my leg on my calf . About a month ago I was getting out of the bathtub and I noticed an inflamed bump on my calf that had grown and now was tender to touch and I could feel it even without looking at it. I have an appt. next week on Tuesday to have it biopsied, but curiousity is killing me. Just curious.
