Bump On Knee, Hurts, Entire Bump Was Hanging Off When I Fell Down, Heavy Bleeding.

hi, about a month ago, i fell on my knee during soccer. but later on, a small bump formed on top. the top of the bump is hard, but when you push it, or when i accidentally brush it on something, it hurts. yesterday during my soccer games i fell when someone tackled me. then the entire bump was hanging off a tiny piece of skin. thejwas raw skin underneath the bump, and blood was pouring out from beneath. do you happen to know anything about this? thank you

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It appears that you might have had a soft tissue injury from your earlier fall. That must have led to a subcutaneous hematoma formation with some amount of abrasion. In a months time, it started healing by itself and formed what you describe as a bump. It is sensitive because of nerve endings exposed in he wound area. On your second injury, there was repeat injury and the entire old wound got sloughed off and is hanging by skin tag.

I suggest you take treatment from you doctor and get tetanus toxoid shot if not immunized earlier. A course of antibiotics is also to be taken.
