Bump On My Butt And It Really Hurts

i have a bump like the size of a peanut on my butt cheek right above my crack . it hurts when i sit, bend, move, anything. you cant even see the bump but you can feel it. i had my mom apply preparation h to the area to heal it alittle, and she always asks me everytime where it is because you cant even see it, you can only feel it. this is very weird, but i know there s only one way on how i got it. i sit everyday for 13 hours a day at my job because i m a secretary. sitting for that long is not good, and now i have a lump on my butt and it hurts. please help, if you know what it is. help please...

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,welcome,
You could have a abscess or a pilonidal sinus.Considering that you have so much pain,i would say that infection is more than likely.I suggest seeing a doctor and getting examined. You might require drainage and definitely require antibiotics.
