Bumps Around Torso, Feels Like Knotted Muscles, Multiplying. What Could Be This?

I have several bumbs or knots mainly around my torso. They feel like knotted muscles, ive been told or read they could be calcium deposites, or lymph nodes or fatty csyts. Im worried because every year they keep multiplying. They dont hurt very much but a couple of them feel wierd and do get agitated. What do you think it is?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read the details of your question.

It looks from your details that this can be neurofibromatosis.

This is a harmless condition where there is development of benign knots of nerve tissue at the peripheral nerves. This can also be sebaceous cysts.

You should consult to a surgeon or a physician for this.Your doctor may do a biopsy of one of these tissues to know about the pathology behind that.

Hope this will alleviate your anxiety.

With best wishes.
