Bumps On Arms, Thighs And Buttocks That Ooze Blood And Puss And Leave Scars. Is This Serious?
I have Bern getting these bumps on me for a few years now. They start kinda hard then get bigGer they are soft and sensitive and when they pop a bunch of blood and some puss come out. After words they leave a hole in my skin until it scars over. I normally get them under my arms and stomach and sometimes on my inner thigh and buttocks. Do you know what this is? and is it dangerous?
Seems that you are getting recurrent furuncles (boils). Some peoples are carriers of staph in their nasal flora, skin.
You should use an antibacterial soap. Apply mupirocin 2% ointment to the vestibule of nares twice daily for 5 days to eliminate nasal carriage.
If i were your treating doctor i would want to give you a course of empirical oral antibiotic with coverage against staph. aureus.
Simultaneously i would also want to send Pus for culture and sensitivity.
Since you are having recurrent infection i would like to test you for Blood sugar as well.
Use great personal hygiene like bathing twice daily, using clean towels and laundries, keep your surroundings clean etc.
i would advice that you ask a dermatologist or physician to explore more or if you have any clarifications
take care regards Dr .kakkar
