Burning Sensation After Drawing Blood. Applied Ice Pack. Anything To Worry?

I had a blood draw this morning and when she stuck the needle in I felt an extreme burning sensation , I mentioned it to her but she kept going.. afterwards I mentioned it to another nurse and she said maybe she hit a nerve. gave me an ice pack and sent me on my way telling me if it doesn't get better to let them know.... is this what happened and is there anything else I should be really concerned about?
