Burning Sensation Below Joint Of Penis After Masturbation. Diagnosed As Infection, Taking Nitrufurantoin, Still Having Burning. Advice?
I am 40,after masturbation I feel a burning sensation at the below joint of penis. At first I felt a discomfortable pain, like fatigue, after ejaculation,I consulted with an sergeon and after examination he told there was a mild infection and prescribed nitrofurantoin for 5 days.I was better but the feeling of discomfortnees and burning is back. What to do?
After reading your post, I would suggest that you should go for a urine examination(Routine/Microscopic and Culture/Sensitivity) to know whether any urinary tract infection is present.
Nitrofurantoin helps in control of the infection, but reports of the urine culture/sensitivity test will help in using the appropriate antibiotic, if any infection is present.
Urinary alkalizer will be helpful. You can take Disodium hydrogen citrate in diluted form under medical supervision.
Drink lots of pure water daily. Avoid spicy foods which increase the acidity.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
