Burning Sensation In Vagina During Intercourse. Had An Oorphrectomy And Hysterectomy. Why Is It Accompanied With Hot Flashes?

I am 67, youthful, sexually active with my husband, and have had very notable and recent episodes of vaginal burning during intercourse. I have also had an oophrectomy and hysterectomy (at age 43) and have not taken HRT for a few months, because my current MD doesn't believe in it for a 'person my age'. I have also begun to have hot flashes.I think the two matters are directly related. What is your opinion?

Dear Mam.

At your age vaginal irritation occurs during intercourse because your body doesnt release the lubrication fluid to facilitate the penile penetration.

The best remedy for this is to use a lubricant jelly during intercourse.

However do a little test before using it in large quantity because sometimes you may be allergic to the cream.
