Burnt Roof Of Mouth. Skin Feel, Noticed Blood And Bump With Pus. Painful To Eat And Swallow. What Could This Be?
Burned the roof of mouth a week ago on food. skin fell off and saw some blood for a day or so. then a bump came up. it has been painful to eat and swallow. now a week later im fewling a puss like liquid in my mouth that keeps reoccuring. its as if it wont stop draining. the bump gets small when i feel the puss, then half hr later the bump fills back up and then drains again. Ive never had a burn on the roof of mouth like this before, so im wondering what it could be?
The history of recurrent collection of pus within a lesion which increases in size as the pus recollects may be in keeping with an abscess.
An abscess is a collection of pus. The definitive treatment of an abscess is incision and drainage, even though it is bursting and the pus is coming out, there are likely pockets of pus remaining after it ruptures.
These pockets of pus would need to be removed by a doctor. It would done in office. Your doctor would also likely give you a prescription for antibiotics.
I hope this helps
