CAN I REDUCE TAKING BLOOD SUGAR TABLET TO ONE/DAY INSPITE OF TWO ?
WHEN I LAST CHECKED MY FASTING BLOOD SUGAR, IT WAS 103, I AM TAKING ONE TABLET, GLIMTIDE PLUS (METFORMIN HCL), EACH TWO TIMES A DAY, NOW MY QUESTING IS CAN I REDUCE THE TABLET TO ONE/DAY ?
FIRST OF ALL I THINK IF IT IS GLIMITIDE PLUS IT CONTAINS (GLIMIPERIDE +METFORMIN) AND IF UR FATING IS 103 ITS NORMAL AND UNEED PPBS ALSO STAT WALKING 30MI9NS EVERY DAY REGULAR PLANNED DIET, AND MEDICATIONS THAN BY CONSULTING UR DOCTOR U CAN REDUCE UR MEDICINES
Instead of you reducing your tablets by your own, ask your physician if he could do it. Many a times, reducing the dosages cause blood sugar level to shoot up.
In my opinion, reduction should be done if:
The tablets don't suit you..
The dose causes frequent hypoglycemia.
If there is any contraindication to the tablet.
