CLR Gas Inhaled Accidentally, Chest Hurts. Anything To Worry?
A bottle of CLR fell and landed upside down on it's cap. It has been slowly leaking. It leaked out about 1/2 cup full strength on a painted concrete floor and I have been in the room with it about 3 hours (rough guess). I cleaned it up, opened my doors for about 90 minutes and mopped the area again. My chest hurts. Can I close my doors? Will i wake up in a state of emergency. How long does inhalation chemical burns take to know the full extent of damage?
As you have cleaned up the area and opened the doors for a while there is no need to worry. The bottle must be kept capped tightly and if possible keep it in a safe place away from accidental exposure to you. The atmospheric air contains enough fresh air to neutralize the effects. If you are feeling uncomfortable and difficulty in breathing, I suggest that you go to ER and take emergency medication should you need it later in case of difficulties.
Hope this helps
